I am in the process of disconnecting from Meta stuff too. One thing to think about is an idea from the Cyber Cleanse from the Opt Out Project is if you have a problematic service that you have to use, you can “render unto Caesar” - basically just use it for that one thing and nothing else. Delete everything else off your Facebook that you can and just use it for one or two things. That way they only know that one thing about you.

I am going with Posteo + Firefox Relay and I paid for both @mailbox_org and @fastmail - still going back and forth between them. The former feels more secure but is pretty slow and has UI issues, the latter is smooth but feels slightly less secure. I feel like I don’t actually need both but I thought I needed longer to test them out.

@agnes Just saw the page. Cool stuff! The Framework 12 seems fun. I like my 13 just fine but I like the fact that they are not resting on their laurels. I'm actually curious how many AI motherboards they will actually sell. Desktop seems strange.

I think you see everything they directly post but you do not see boost thank God. I have had to mute or stop getting notifications from people who are noisy.

Fun tip - if they are talking repeatedly about a particular thing (eh hem - the current state of politics in the US) you can use the filters to make it so you don’t see those posts with that content explicitly in notifications. You can stop that content and get other things.
