My games these days are mainly FFXIV and Jedi Survivor, but u feel like I need another game as a break from those? I was thinking maybe a puzzle game but I haven’t found one that feels right. Maybe some simplistic indie title? Anyone have suggestions? I’m thinking either like cozy sim, or mercantile, or … farming… maybe puzzle? ( ps5 )
@emilygorcenski I have on more than one occasion had a conversation about how, I am fairly skilled / expert at regex – and how you know you’re making a mistake if you’re reaching for regex
@annika 😂 Yeah I was really worried about going over the 1k limit on the “pro" plan, but after a couple of months it seems fine, I might even be ok with a downgrade
@mattly It's a tiny challenge that includes a an html search – and in most contexts ( including this one ) an input field + button _is_ a form, albeit a simple one, and just using a <form> element gives you the benefit of being able to use either the "enter" key _or_ submit button to trigger whatever subsequent actions/ui/requests etc that may happen but no one thinks to do this?
I've been grading a lot of technical assessments recently and it strikes me that there are no candidates who are using form elements in the implementation for their search – where the semantic _and_ functional benefits would be immediate and take like ... no time or additional effort.
A long time ago a friend had said to me “you know, you don’t have to be like massive”, and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head – primarily I think because I do.
I dedicate more time and energy to growing than I have anything else for more than a decade and I really just don’t feel I have anything to show for it. It’s a constant source of disappointment for me.
