@mattly it's ... it ... hasn't really been possible for me. There's lots of smaller businesses that use shopify because it offers an "out of the box" solution to web services. Smaller businesses that I want to keep supporting, especially when the alternative is frequently Amazon which I've drawn a hard line against.
I wasn't a big fan of Shopify after refusing to drop support for breitbart back in the day and every time I see a website backed by it I balk. I always encourage / ask retailers to find other providers, and I'm going to continue to do so. https://mstdn.ca/@gemelliz/114032487928642708
@mattly I’ve seen this on Bluesky too, people are like “you just don’t understand AI” and I have a hard time not going into a diatribe on how wrong they are
@petrillic@skinnylatte this is going to sound weird but I legitimately love going to the DMV around these here parts. It’s always fast, easy, and the grounds are nice
I have a trans (nb) friend who lost their role just as they started transitioning, it seems this may have been politically motivated and if anyone has roles ( either in San Francisco or remote ) for DevOps or Engineering I could forward to them that’d be appreciated
@skinnylatte ooh actually, could you be my person on the inside? I love visiting when there's a giant sunfish / mola mola on display but I know they have difficulty keeping them too long because of how fast they grow
I'm all thinking I need :has() but css has a perfectly good :focus-within I could be using because I've been on the internet long enough that neither of those existed
