    @alex @verita84 btw I'm using relay-graphql, so each card is a fragment and each page navigation is only one graphql query. if you hover over a persons name and get a follower card that has their name and follower stats or w/e that's already in cache so it only fetches the purple boxes on navigation. if it's missing the follower card on the top right it will fetch that in the query too, and it will still only be in the one query. same thing with the sidebar content

    @verita84 @alex no way lol. it's a passion project at this point, I don't care about popularity contests, and it's just offensive enough that sensitive people will stay away but not too offensive, and if some corpo-dick sucker wants to use it it's not like the name is anywhere on the frontend

    @dave @verita84 @alex @roboneko added crdt-based configuration so now everything is configurable and more UI tweaks ☮️ mock data but I can only mock API calls the database already supports so everything you see is tied into the backend (except images, need to make a proxy resize server and figure out uploads ?)

    @silverpill @alex @eriner this is actually a great argument for why you shouldn't use sortable ids considering that the API requires them so now if you want to make your own db you have to use the same id schema. masto api sucks so bad lol

    @alex @eriner mine generates json schemas based on typescript interfaces, which are then used to validate the incoming message, and are also used to double the speedup on stringification before delivering messages. also provides typed objects and supports plugins
