Recommending Fediblock for user 'happy@happyfedi.better-than.tv' as they joined Fedi on April 22nd and have an absolute insane 24k accounts that they follow already.

This is obviously bot activity, hoping to get as federated as possible very quickly for some reason....😬

I like that bigger platforms like Flipboard are starting to federate. Though, with a supposed 150m+ accounts, its kinda strange that I don't get much boosted to my timeline....

I guess there isn't much on Flipboard that's within my interests...🤔 🤷♂️

After 9 months, I FINALLY follow enough people to have a "decent" Trending page with 6-7 posts!😅

It sucks that single user instances have to deal with this issue, but it's unfortunately how Mastodon decided to build the feature. It does leave me wondering though, if it could be changed to federate "Favorites" or, if it's too heavy on the servers, make it an option to turn on or off as wanted?

I don't know if it's possible, but I just know the Trending feature on single-user instances are almost completely useless most of the time.😩

Well, I have deleted the Threads app. They don't seem interested in integrating in good faith, unfortunately. Therefore I don't see any point in advocating for them further.

Federate with them if you wish, but my first hand experience with their dev team has been completely in bad faith on their part...🤦♂️

Every now and then while browsing the Federated timeline, I'll come across that dumb troll who says something like "Fediverse SUCKS! There's nobody here!!!"

All I can think in that moment is, "oh yeah? Then who the fuck are you and why are you on my timeline?!?!"

🤦♂️people are so dumb. Don't post on a platform and complain about it unless you're trying to make the platform better.

So.... apparently Threads is asking users after 30 days if they want to keep Fediverse on.

I hope this is simply an analytics thing that they're tracking to see how many users keep it on and not some sort of "hey...nudge nudge....you might wanna turn that off...." kinda thing....

I still have my doubts about Threads federation even though I am more positive about it than others. I really hope they don't make me defederate. That will make me sad.

Just finished my daily hashtag abuse blocking....

It's kinda sad that I have to block 20+ accounts daily due to hashtag abuse. How about we start using hashtags ONLY when they're relevant? Yeah! That sounds like a great idea!
