It's a boondoggle.

Sig will be building a new factory next to the Lake City ammunition plant in Missouri to make the new 6.8 round.

The rifles themselves will be assembled in New Hampster, but I'm betting there will be a lot of Congressional districts that get a piece of the pie.

The all-new 6.8 round doesn't do anything that existing 6.8 rounds do, except cost more.
