A few of researchers did various things including """meta-analysis""", which doesn't mean much when the source data is garbage (shithole countries). It's an interesting theory, but probably not true. It's more likely from the various "totally safe" food chemicals, cleaners, etc. that we're constantly exposed to in the West. People in shithole countries just die earlier or their symptoms would be masked by the problem of parasites or whatever else might cause their ills.
