@ktneely @Printdevil @artemis @oddtail I love everything about this conversation. (Born in the US, descended from people born on multiple continents.) I have run into so many of my fellow Americans that go on and ON about their ancestral heritage, that I just quit listening.
If you like a thing or culture, great. But man is it annoying when they wear their "heritage" on their sleeve.
I actually had someone from Houston, Texas tell me that I (born in El Paso, Texas) am not a real Texan. 🙄
