Rev 5:9-10 (DRB)
>And they sung a new canticle, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; because thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God, in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation. >10And hast made us to our God a kingdom and priests, and we shall reign on the earth.
Rev 20:6 in KJV (and very similar in every other translation) support the notion of priest but also the word "reigning" is used. Given the role of a priest in hierarchy, I think it's fair to say there's some measure of authority rather than subjugation. Ultimately it's authority from God for His glory.
>Rev 20:6 (KJV) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
