I think any encryption algorithm publicly available is something the government can already break it if it wants to or when it needs to.

If you actually had something they couldn't access they'd probably just kill you.

I think it's might be better to use incredibly odd protocols that are not documented so someone has to bother reverse engineering it if they want to snoop.
