I have been asked to fudge data, improve children's work, do stuff for them to make it look good; the list goes on. I have been told to spoon-feed children who cry if they can't do anything, rather than build lasting skills and a sense of achievement. I have been criticised for trying to get children to make personal improvements.
We have created a cohort that are too frail to fail. They are all identity and no substance. Their feelings trump reality. I feel sorry for them, but they were created by grown-ups who should have known better.
I'm so glad I'm out of teaching. I should have left sooner.
