Hello! Australian popping in, hope you don't mind. We've had compulsory voting here since 1924. On the latest data from the last federal election, the percentage of wasted votes (informal votes) is circa 5%. So, you're getting a very good representation of that the electorate actually wants.

Having grown up with compulsory voting, I can't understand people who don't vote.
