@evan @j12t Thx. Until there is an irrefutable about face from Meta retracting their free-for-all on verbal abuse and diminishment of others, I can’t use an affiliate platform without myself supporting their horrific stance. It’s just not ok.

I don’t understand how it’s acceptable for us to now have to battle nazis, because they’re your buds. Understand? Not my problem, not my friends.

@evan @j12t Meta has opened the floodgates on potential disinformation about vulnerable populations. It’s important that everyone within the realm of mastodon/fediverse is aware of the changes occurring in the Meta ToS and how they’re incompatible with some basic local fedi precepts

@jeffowski @_chris_real My objection is to standing in front. It’s really important for us to listen and allow others to lead. We whyte folk are so thoroughly accustomed to leading, we hardly know that allyship can mean standing back, as a supportive force, without the overarching voice. In our private worlds we need to share, inform, reframe, but as allies we’re not the leaders.

While #healthcare anecdotes are on trend, here's my little tangent: husband's monthly premium was supposed to be set up as auto-payment, but when I looked, payment history said “$0.00 - FAILED” so I called my provider. It seems we had overpaid, but the system which debits payments is *literally* unfamiliar with “$0.00” as a correct amount so automatically registered a payment FAILURE. Effing geniuses didn't program for unanticipated situations.
