Ah, Tom Paris, that guy who was kicked out of Starfleet Academy then imprisoned despite all his various talents and expertise, just as good at being a doctor as he was an engineer among other things.

Amazing that he was pretty much a 24th-century renaissance man and Starfleet decided they... didn't want him? WTF? This is just one of many of Voyager's WTF moments once to really look into the show.
