Yes, that’s pretty much exactly what I said when the Vision Pro was released! Right down to the Newton comparison (except I view it as an iPhone precursor, not iPad, but nary a diff).

But also:

Newton: released 1993, discontinued 1998(?)
iPhone: released 2007

…so on that timeline, whatever the Apple Vision Pro was the precursor to is due circa 2037.
