- Embed this notice@deutrino Farcaster has a really popular client for it made by the same people that made the protocol, called Warpcast. It has a thing called "frames" which are like embedded webapps. They enable a different way of extending content than the Fediverse has. The issue with the Fediverse is if you want to extend it you create activity types and the data exists right on the same linked data structure as the social graph, that enables all kinds of potential cool stuff, but in practice only a few activity types are supported, and getting buy-in for support of more types is practically impossible. Farcaster bypasses this by extending functionality using embedded web profile of sorts. However the problem there is that every frames app is like a little fiefdom that locks up your data.
