What's worked for me is to not waste time with anything that is corpo or looks like a recruiter or uses inhuman phrasing in the job post ("The candidate shall have the following qualities...", etc.).
Further, I won't fill out an online form. I'll call a phone number, preferably, or send my resume directly to steve_lastname@company.com, but I'm not going to start the employment relationship with faceless automated bureaucracy; everything is downhill from the start. If they can't treat me decently in the interview, they're not going to suddenly start after I'm hired.
Most of the apply-by-online-form jobs are fake anyway.
