Keeping jobs for the "natives" /shouldn't/ matter. We're long past the point where anyone should need to work full time, and there are several jobs that it would legitimately be better for society to pay those doing them to just stay home and /not/ work instead (in quite a few corporations I've been, that'd be over 1/3 of the employees).
If basic human/personal rights weren't contingent on constant employment (isn't that a weird one, huh?), a lot of the arguments would obviously not make sense.
