@djsumdog @sathariel @Paradox I don't think anyone was talking about modern olympic fencing, but rather real fencing, since the source of the discussion is a historical fencing manual that illustrates one fighter lunging for the legs and the other fighter responding by driving his sword through the first fencer's skull.

Fencing might not be, but football is a lot closer to chess, minus the dice.
