If you decide to look further, delving into a few known jewish families in a targeted area will get you a lot of other names you can search. Even a few estimates would be useful. The biggest reason to look at this is the other archives and historical sources they link to, all free or public records without paywalls. Lots of neat American history stuff, and you can find some European things as well.
