Ben from CDS@Dss @Milkman76 @cstross I think there's a Malthusian component to the way the wealthy and the far right have responded to the pandemic. They buy into the idea that overpopulation is a problem and saw an ideal opportunity to cull the poor, the disabled and the elderly. An incredible bonus for them that it also has cognitive impacts, because there's nothing like brain damage to turn people to right-wing politics.
