I've seen passive euthanasia since I was in nursing school. That's still a thing. But, there can also be abuses in keeping someone alive well past what is reasonable.

I hate that they made TV ads for MAiD. Hate, hate, hate it. And, I really hate that it's being offered in non medical situations.

Anyway, medical ethics is complex, and it can also be abusive to prolong someone's life beyond hope.
