You can't find it easily because Theravada became "Protestant" (analogously speaking) and refuses to play ball with medieval readings of the ancient sources, which is lame in a way, but it also kept the esoteric element of that tradition from becoming a commodity for mentally ill White women.

I'm sure this is also true for other traditions in China and India.
