Eventually Windows 10 support will end same as with Windows 7 and 8. Newer hardware just won't have drivers and software including games that people want will also only work on the newest cloud versions.
Don't want to jinx it but Linux with Wine really is cozy and will be the best alternative until they start intentionally making stuff not work with wine/proton.
