The majority of Doctor slots go to women who vow to be a "force for good in the world"....right up until they get married to one of the 3/10 of the student body that's male. Then they have a kid and realize they could happily go part time instead.

Then they step them down as they go. "twenty hours a week" becomes ten, then one day seeing pt's, then before you know it they have 4 slots every 2 weeks, and they couldn't care less, because even their dream job is garbage when stacked against hanging with their babies
