@stux I agree with you, but in the US it’s that gun owners here as a collective have decided that dead mall shoppers, dead schoolchildren, and huge numbers of self-inflicted gun deaths are an *acceptable cost* of being able to own guns.
It’s not about “the right to bear arms”—that’s just rationalization. It’s about being so utterly selfish that one’s ability to play with guns is far more important than other people dying because of one’s hobby.
