@bobbala @doctorsex @cjd @EssentialUtinsil I think you are as well. We end up with Mercantilism if it's all about gold. We end up with "late stage capitalism" (🙄) when it's financialized fiat. Nazi Germany was actually a different form of fiat, and it WAS NOT a permanent solution. It would've likely transitioned to a more normative economic standard had war not broke out. But we're all speculating and screaming into the void at this point.
