It was literally an ancient Empire that outlasted anything else, maintained an incredibly high standard-of-living and felicity of life even as its lands were being shorn from it, and nothing else even comes close. And it had a spiritual successor in the Romanov Dynasty, and the Ottomans simply plugged their own guys into the levers of power without changing much but flags and minarets. There isn’t a whole lot anyone has to meaningfully compare it with.
