So you don't think it was subversion. What was the point of the correction to begin with then? To enforce some sort of standard of ideological purity where it's not even needed? This sort of seige mentality where you can't pass up an opportunity for something to be an ideological battleground is how you get a bunch of paranoia and neuroses. That shit burns people out and drives them away.
