exactly, that's what i mean by a wallet provider service as an alternative to self-hosting, a thing that Alby used to do but I guess cannot exist now

I'm ambivalent about the nwc protocol, it's pretty simple (I'd say simplistic) websocket stuff, and comes with the same caveats as the rest of the nostr specs - only lightly documented, riddled with typos etc, doesn't exactly spark confidence
