    @splitshockvirus @mint @not_benis they were expensive a few years ago before Realtek flooded Chinese OEMs with an excellent low cost switch IC.

    As for why 2.5 on the mobo, it's a very cheap upgrade for the manufacturer while 10GBASE-T is still a nontrivial expense, sadly.
