Personal assessment: the idea is legit and many members are legit, but there is no way they are not monitored by and infiltrated by FBI Special Agents Frick and Frack. The signal to noise on this is too strong - "thou doth protest overmuch", which tells me somebody(s) in power are intimidated by the group.
