The most prolific group call themselves "Christians". You can't be in the club if you don't follow the rules.

It is not enough to pick and choose what to believe, within reason of acceptable heterodoxy*. Christian has a meaning, and I'm fine going with essentialism for this discussion.
*YOU do not get to decide what is heterodoxy and what is heresy. People have devoted and even given their lives in defense of their positions on this, and we have a working definition for mere Christianity today. Arianism is not Christian.
