Largely agree with @jdp23 I would quibble with the claim that “big fedi” model turns local fedi servers into “dumb pipes” whereas bluesky PDS servers *really are that* to my mind and show the difference.

PDS admins seem to do little more than keep the lights on and (maybe) remove some illegal conent (maybe if I understand it right) or users (maybe, if I understand it right)…

Mastodon admins - in both big fedi and little fedi models) set all the house rules… (for good or ill)….
