YMMV with diesel. and i wouldn't be surprised if soviet tanks put out a lot of CO. lot of variables there -- mixture, compression, temperature, fuel composition.
but with all that has been said, any WWII atrocities do not automatically give the Jews a license to kill. they are doing in israel what they accuse the Germans of doing 80 years ago. and then some.
