Definitely true. I often try clicking on the last messages in threads (which there can be many of) and then read back to to it to see what they are responding to.

But it doesn't solve the problem of figuring out exactly where to respond in the conversation if different threads covered different aspects of the conversation.

I can definitely see people being turned off from it for sure.
