You do realise, that without capitalism actually meaningful technological advancement would probably be faster and more efficient?

Just think about absolutely brilliant minds born into poverty, or those without any opportunities for going up the social ladder, forever under the boot. Or people too physically and mentally exhausted to actually do something else than working. No.

Capitalism benefits the rich and gives scraps to the rest of us. And if it were gone, the cutthroat nature of our society could have a chance to be overcome.
