- Embed this notice@icedquinn @realcaseyrollins @thor I'd also say that even if, theoretically, the majority did vote for Hamas and it was a fair and legitimate election which occurred recently, that doesn't excuse killing civilians. If 50%+1 of the population supported Hamas yesterday, that doesn't mean 50%+1 still support Hamas today, and definitely doesn't mean it's okay to kill the 50%-1 who might not have supported Hamas. And I think we all know democracy rarely represents what the majority of the population actually wants, even if we were to assume their current actions were what was democratically decided upon. Even in the best possible case for the most legitimate democracy, it's still unjust to murder civilians who happen to live there, since even then democracy still isn't unanimous.
