@GrumpyOldNurse @FeartnTired Sure, they tried offering retiring teachers $12 000 not to retire. Problem is, these same teachers could get there pension plus whatever contract they pick up at the top of the salary scale. So only a handful took them up on it. Most retirees would rather just sub and not have to deal with the planning and evaluating. They also get to pick and chose where they go.

Oh, and also fucking around with our contract negotiations. They signed the last one a little over two years ago after it being expires for two years so it's up again. So there is a possibility that we'll be starting the school year with a strike vote.

Why, oh why don't more people want to be teachers????
