@swaggboi @jmhorner That makes sense. I was overcomplicating it. I had a FB account for a few months in the late oughts or early tens and gave up on it, then skipped ahead a few years (quite a few) and got on reddit because I noticed a lot of the things I was searching engines for were answered on that network. Then got on twit in 2019 because I noticed a lot of the current and breaking events I was interested in on reddit were actually being spun off from twit and by the time it hit the subs I was following it was already 2 or 3 day old information.
Now I'm back to idgaf if all the major players are intent on stuffing my search for meaningful content with ads and dis and mis info haha. I'm into it, I'll hit the like button here. I just notice that when a doot has a dozen or more comments and boosts, it often has zero likes so I am catching on that not a lot of masto folk use it. I've wondered why that is.
