Yup, heat pumps and EVs are too expensive for most. They should be subsidized. And they are! But they should be subsidized more.

Others who are far more knowledge about this than me (and probably you, no offense) have thought hard about tradeoffs and mapped out a variety of plausible strategies. We don’t need to haggle it out here. I’m interested in what social-political power we all have to implement those plans.
