Timo@PatrickoftheG @thomasfuchs IIRC Congress has passed various laws that prevent the feds from creating any products that compete with private industry. So the feds have to use commercial platforms to communicate with the citizens, as they cannot create their own platforms. Web sites and apps appear to be fine though.
