Remember in the story of Snow White how the evil queen kept using her mirror to actively search for any women in the world who were prettier than her so she could kill them by using an absurd amount of magical transformation power to disguise herself and offer them with transmogrified poisoned fruit which would then kill them? You would think that someone with transformation magic could have simply used it to make herself slightly prettier, someone with that much free time could have learned to cook a dish or two and gotten her hair done and learned bellydancing or something. But no.
