I was at a tech meetup last night and we had two instances of people talking about how they used AI at their jobs to develop software which completely replaced and obsolesced entry-level cybersecurity reconnaissance work. Businesses are not going to be able to justify hiring juniors who are going to be reliant on LLMs for work in which the LLMs alone can perform at 80% of the efficiency of the junior for a tenth the cost.
I've considered transitioning to healthcare at this point. The pay isn't as good and you have to deal with old cunts, but you're not going to struggle with a year-long job search which I've currently been under.
