I like to think of parallel universes as git branches with timestamps being commits.

Reason being: the idea of creating a whole other universe simply to let a single choice or probabliistic event play out seems energetically wasteful. I think there are main/trunk universes, dev universes, and pocket universes which are short lived feature branches.

I never wanted to do a PhD before, but I would sure do one in theoretical physics and have people pay me to research the hell outta this topic.
