> I dunno man, they were just tasks. You came down hard for something not that bad.
Nah, I just told a robot to write some shit. I don't wanna read something a robot wrote. I know where the robots are, and here I am where the people are. I said what I thought, you replied with what a robot thought. It's not materially different from pasting a link to search results or just pasting Wikipedia without writing anything. I know where Wikipedia is, I know where the search engines are, I know where the chatbots are, and if I wanted to consult with them, I would be there instead of here.
> So there were 4 or 5 threads of things I consider to be risk factors
You could have just said those instead of what a robot said. Fuck what a robot said: I have to live in this world and the robot doesn't.
> Just a bunch of LLM tasks ducktaped together to find the best age to date a US woman for casual sexual relations with minimal risks from a guy’s standpoint.
You say this like the machine knew what factors mattered (it does not; if I wanted to have a machine weigh these things, I'd find the machine and tell the machine what matters), like the machine is a neutral collection of facts (it is not, because it is a token predictor with no internal knowledge representation), or like the machine's got anything to say (it does not; it is trained on academics and normies, two groups with no real insight). Even if the machine has a good day, the best it can do (because it has no idea who I am or what i value) is guess at medians. The machine's output on decisions about my life is of no value on its best day. You expressed a preference, I said that I have a different preference because I have different concerns, and you pasted a machine's advice. I didn't even ask for a human's advice on this topic, and in my life have not ever wanted a machine's advice.
If I change my mind, I know where to find the machines; I thought I was in the place where you find people. If it's not here, then where the fuck is left? May as well shut this shit off forever and duct tape a goddamn fleshlight to a goddamn Alexa and let Klaus seal me in the goddamn tube. However goddamn depressing it was to find all these people shilling ideologies without thinking, it's fucking worse if it's just people fucking pasting robot shit and then I'll just get a robot to read it for me and reply and then your robot can read that and reply: there's no fucking point.
If I ask you how the weather is and you reply with a link to the weather report, that's a dick maneuver: I know how to look up the goddamn weather, so I was evidently asking you what you thought about the weather. "Highs in the 50s, 20% chance of precipitation" doesn't answer the question, "It's warming up, I hate being stuck in the office on a day like this, especially after it rained all weekend and I couldn't chill in the back yard or plant tomatoes" does. Why bother talking to a human instead of a machine?
