Hmm, if an instance really wants to block them, having everyone on the same instance certainly makes things easier, but given the small number, it's still easy for them to block them one by one. In short, I think it's a risk worth taking? And worst case scenario, have a backup account on a friendly server that is already well integrated into the federation.
