In France you have to go to driving school, and you have to take it with a state examiner.

On my driving exam, we were going up a road and there was this outdoor market on the side of the road so people were crossing. I was cruising at about 25mph, not *slow* because again I'm an experienced driver, I'm not paranoid at all, I'm just cruising because that's what you do when there's people on the road. Lady was shouting "that's not the speed limit, go faster, go faster" and I just said "not safe, there's people, we'll get there when we get there" (I'm stubborn like that).

Well, she passed me, but after that the instructor (who was in the back seat) said her little tactic was very out-of-line and if she doesn't pass me he's going to report her to the board of examiners.
