Nah, there are microtransactions and plenty of other anti-consumer bullshit in a lot of indie games. It's just the default for the industry now, and even the devs that don't dive dickfirst into greed tend to sperg out leftist bullshit on twatter/bluesky. I repeat they hate us all.
