Register is basically RH's puppet at this point that doesn't really care about Linux and the ecosystem around it and nobody reads Phoronix. There isn't a proper Linux related news outlet anymore.

Sure, you could announce it yourself on Xitter and Fedi, but many people probably won't see that.
